Blood Swept Lands and Seas of Red. A field of 888,246 ceramic poppies fills the moat surrounding the Tower of London - an art installation created by ceramic artist Paul Cummins (12 November 2014). Over the next ten days, volunteers will remove the hand-made poppies, which were installed in the weeks leading up to Remembrance Day, on the 100th anniversary of the outbreak of the First World War. © Rudolf Abraham
