Croatian folk costumes, shot for a cover story for Morning Calm (Korean Airlines inflight magazine). The costumes in the image below are from the Zagrebačko Prigorje region, and worn by two professional dancers from LADO (the Croatian National Folk Dance Ensemble) in Zagreb. The shoot also included other dancers from LADO wearing costumes from the Dubrovačko Primorje region, from Vrlika in the Dalmatinska Zagora region, and (second image) the distinctive costumes from Bizovac in Slavonia, as well as costume makers in Šestine and the village of Sesvetski Kraljevec, gold embroidery (zlatovez) technique, and folk costumes in the Department for the Preservation, Reconstruction and Lending of Traditional Costumes (Posudionica i radionica narodnih nošnji) in Zagreb. You can find more images of traditional folk costumes in the Croatia Archive gallery.
