Le Havre, Normandy, France
Interior of Église Saint-Joseph, Le Havre, Normandy, France (July 2017). Transitional zone, and red wool installation by Japanese artist Chiharu Shiota below spire. Église Saint-Joseph was built in the 1950s by Auguste Perret during the ambitious reconstruction of the city centre (almost entirely destroyed by Allied bombing raids in the Second World War), which now forms a remarkably homogenenous example of modern, concrete architecture, and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site © Rudolf Abraham
